Wakle Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data Wakle collects, why, and how it's handled. Wakle does not sell your data or run ads.

On-device processing

Most of what Wakle sees to run your missions — camera frames, motion sensor readings, microphone levels — is processed on your device and never leaves it. This includes:

• Camera — used for QR/barcode scanning, the Photo Match and Touch Grass missions, and counting reps for the camera-based Push-ups mission. All of this is processed live, on your device, using on-device pose and image recognition. Reference data for Photo Match stays in the app's own local storage.
• Motion sensors — used for the Steps and Shake missions.
• Microphone — used only to track ambient noise levels during Sleep Mode, to calculate a sleep score. Wakle does not record or store audio.

Account, alarm, and progress data

We store your account information, alarm settings, and progress data (streaks, mission history, points) so they sync across sessions and devices. We also collect approximate (coarse) location to fetch your local weather forecast.

Data collection partners

A few third parties process limited data on our behalf:

• Firebase (Google) — authentication, and storage of your account, alarms, and progress data. Firebase also provides crash diagnostics and, as of this version, basic product-usage analytics (for example, which missions get completed) so we can understand how the app is actually used and improve it. This usage data is tied only to an anonymous, per-device identifier — never to your name, email, or account — and is never shared with advertisers or used to show you ads.
• RevenueCat — manages subscription purchases and entitlements.
• Apple / Google — process payments through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment details.

Social features (Lovebirds, Wake Together, Eldercare)

Partner linking, Buddy Code, Wake Together circles, and Eldercare Mode share only limited information between explicitly connected accounts — display name, streak, and wake status. Eldercare access requires active consent from both sides and can be revoked at any time by either person.

Wake Selfie: if you use this mission, the selfie you take to dismiss your alarm is sent only to your linked partner. It is automatically deleted after about 48 hours, is never seen by anyone besides your partner, and is never used for anything beyond showing it to them.

Morning Doodle and Wake-Up Message work the same way — content you create there is visible only to your linked partner, never to anyone else.

Your controls

You can deny any permission at the OS level (the app degrades gracefully — for example, Emergency Escape lets you dismiss an alarm if a mission's permission is denied). You can unlink a partner at any time from Settings. You can delete your account entirely from Settings, which removes your profile, alarms, progress history, and any partner or caregiver links from our servers.

Children's privacy

Wakle isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone in that age group.
